All self-inflicted and for good cause. I'm a reading fanatic all of a sudden! Hopefully that is a good lead in to being a good author. I'm sure inspired! So I stayed up last night finishing Every Breath You Take by Judith McNaught. Can I say... BEST ENDING EVER?! I'm all warm and fuzzy today as a result. And not sure taken out of context that it will mean much to those who haven't read it, but I have to record it here so I can latter reminisce. Ms. McNaught, I adore you!
His expression faltered, however, near the end of the ceremony when Mitchell was asked if he promised to love, honor and cherish Kate. Instead of replying "Lo Giuro," Mitchell replied, "Con ogni respiro che prendo."
For a brief moment, Father Donovan wondered if Mitchell's answer had perhaps been a little indefinite, but Father Lorenzo looked very gratified, which allayed Father donovan's concerns.
At the reception after the ceremony, however, Father Donovan sought out Father Lorenzo, who was bilingual and who was chatting with the American guests. "Father Lorenzo", Father Donovan said, "What did Mitchel say when you asked him to love, honor, and cherish Kate?" ...
"When I asked Mitchell if he promised to love, honor, and cherish Kate, Mitchell did not merely say 'I do'. Instead he replied, 'With every breath I take.'
How can you not love that? Ah. Love it.
So anyways... next up I believe is a young adult book by Judy Blume called 'Forever' - this one apparently caused some controversy years ago so I gotta' see what that was all about (looking forward to it, thanks for the recommendation, Susan!), then Enders Game recommended by Bert (needing a little Sci Fi influence I'm thinking - no question you're the man for that topic, Bert) and of course Kathy keeps them coming and added to her stack of reads is now Pillars of Earth that she seems passionate about, and something by Jody Piccoult that she is still picking out. Kathy - look at the monster you've created! I adore you for it, you know! And honestly, I'm still amazed by this new passion... seriously. Who would have 'thunk' it? Not me.
So we are now 4 weeks away from more face time with the big mouse in Orlando! Yeah! Vacation is coming!
Hi Jen! How fun that you are going to Disney World! Can I come? :-) I have really enjoyed getting to know you over at Vintage Plum and I cannot wait to see what you make with your kits after your scrap retreat this weekend. Have a great time!
